About Joie Goodkin
An entrepreneur from the age of eight, Joie Goodkin’s first business was renting comic books to her friends. She later founded, on her kitchen table, a county wide magazine in Florida, that she sold as part of a Wall Street underwriting. She also created a printing, graphic design and publishing company recognized nationally for its unique service and its willingness to try anything to meet a deadline.
Joie’s career and civic contributions have been honored with at least 50 awards for community service and business accomplishment. She also did a stint fighting crime with CrimeStoppers, a national organization that she helped to bring to south Florida.
She won multiple sales and marketing awards, including one she co-won with Wayne Huizenga, founder of Waste Management, AutoNation and Blockbuster video, given by the South Florida Sales and Marketing Association. She was named Woman of the Year in Marketing and Communications from the South Florida Advertising Federation and was a recipient of the Florida Region Brotherhood award from the National Conference of Christians and Jews, and the Golden Rule Award from JC Penney. She is listed in many ‘Who’s Who’ type publications.
